H wasn't exactly what I would describe as "alpha". Lanie and her friends were brash and crass, two things I really hate in my female leads assuming her her "badass", "strong" friends will be the leads in the books that follow.

She doesn't fit into their mold of perfect body, perfect life. Fortunately, she had her grandmother on her side. Now she owns and runs the ice cream shop her grandmother founded.
She has a group of friends that are supportive and wonderful. She figures that because she isn't slim and perfect that romance isn't in the cards.
But when Wyatt walks in with his nieces, she really likes what she sees. Wyatt feels the same. After serving his c Lanie has always felt out of place with most of her family.
After serving his country, he doesn't feel as comfortable with crowds. So he keeps to himself but his family worries. So to ease their fears about his mental health, he spends the day with his nieces and sees the most beautiful girl.
Once he sees Lanie, he is determined to be with her. Complications arise but with love on their side, surely nothing will stand in their way?
If you aren't a fan of love, smitten-at-first-sight, Elisa Leigh would not be your cup of tea. Me, however, ate this up like creme brulee! Ms Leigh creates a total wish fulfillment fantasy that any woman who ever hasn't felt good enough, pretty enough can relate to.
These two are absolutely adorable together and I devoured Sweet Curves in one sitting. I adore Ms Leigh and I am devouring her books as fast as possible.

Sweet curves is book one in the Clearwater curves series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. This book broke that and kept me entertained and interested throughout.
I devoured this book within half an hour and was left wanting more. I liked seeing Lanie and her best friends meet and the friendship between them.
I wanted to bash them in their faces. I liked Wyatt; I just wish that we got more of him and his background. He felt closed off the majority of the time.
That being said, the chemistry and attraction between him and Lanie was clear to see and they made a cute couple.

As with any insta-love story it's really not realistic, but that's the benefit of reading fiction. This is an awesome way to escape reality for an hour or so.

The good: Lanie has some insecurities about her weight sure, but she is not bitter or constantly depressed. She accepts Wyatt's attraction for her and keeps the story from being depressing.
Wyatt is a stand up guy. I loved the opening with the friends meeting the way they did. The NOT so good: The insta love is a little too heavy.
It felt kind of forced and even a little creepy at times. The reader isn't given enough time to really get to know the characters.
